Welcome back, Gamerholics!

We hope you enjoyed your summer. As fall sets in, the leaves turn their colors, and the temperatures begin to drop, it’s time to dust off the controllers, and get back to gaming.

Here is some information about new developments in the gaming community of La Porte.

Have you seen the new gaming store in town? It’s called Game Emporium. It’s a great place to go try games, buy games, and talk about games! Game Emporium is located on J Street, two shops down from Radio Shack. We have already co-hosted one tournament with GE and will do more in the future. Game Emporium also hosts tournaments of their own. Visit them on Facebook and the store for more information.

A new gaming event group has begun operating in La Porte as well. Cyber Armageddon was started by Master INSANo, a member of LPGH since its inception, equipment contributor, and frequent moderator of our shooter tournaments.

Cyber Armageddon and La Porte Gamerholics will promote each other’s events. You will see the Events page on this site that some events are listed as Hosted by La Porte Gamerholics, some as Hosted by Cyber Armageddon, and some as Co-Hosted by La Porte Gamerholics & Cyber Armageddon. That’s right! We will be doing several collaborative events. All of this will further the cause of bringing the gaming community of La Porte together and having bigger and better gaming events much, MUCH more often than in recent years. Cyber Armageddon is on Facebook. See their page for more information.

Black Ops & Mortal Kombat Tournament

The next La Porte Gamerholics event will be our second Mortal Kombat Tournament and our final Black Ops Tournament combined.  This is our final Black Ops tournament as the time for Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 is close at hand. When those games come out, we will focus on them for our shooter events.

This tournament will be on Friday, October 7th, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the La Porte Library in the Large Meeting Room. More information on the Events page.

You may register by clicking the link in all caps toward the top of the page or by clicking the Register button at the top of the page.

We are still discussing and deciding on how the tournament will be run as far as rules, etc. Join the discussion on our Message Board and Facebook.
